Job Summary
Ensure appropriate supervision, health, and safety of individuals while implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills including hygiene, food preparation, and shopping, and facilitate skill training in areas like fire safety. Advocate for individuals regarding medical appointments, recreational activities, and spiritual development, while transporting them to community outings and home visits. Complete daily progress notes, individual logs, and job-related tasks as needed, maintaining facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards. Remain on shift until relief arrives. Maintain updated certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
