Job Summary
Ensure appropriate supervision and health safety of individuals while implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills like hygiene and meal preparation, and facilitate fire safety training. Advocate for individuals in the community for medical appointments and recreational activities, transport them as needed, and maintain facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards. Complete daily progress notes, logs, and documentation of individual goals while observing and reporting unusual behaviors. Maintain updated certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
