Job Summary
Ensure a safe and clean home by assisting clients with household chores and participating in them as needed. Support individuals in self-care routines, health, safety, and overall wellbeing while following all treatment plans and utilizing adaptive equipment. Assist with meal preparation, medication administration, and emergency transportation. Document sleep checks through the night, maintain accurate medical records, and attend progress meetings. Mentor new staff by demonstrating routines and reviewing training manuals. Adhere to overtime policies and emergency evacuation procedures. Requires a qualified NYS driver's license, AMAP training, and successful completion of a fingerprint/criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified NYS drivers' license required and maintained throughout employment
- AMAP Training is required and must be completed within six (6) months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- First Aid/CPR/SCIP-R Training is preferred
