Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) in a residential setting, supporting individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities, mental illness, and traumatic brain injury to achieve personal outcomes. Responsibilities include advocating, teaching life skills, promoting health and safety, developing service plans with an interdisciplinary team, documenting care, facilitating community involvement, transporting clients as needed, and performing healthcare tasks such as medication administration. Requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in-person in Bohemia, NY; High School Diploma or equivalent required; valid NY driver’s license preferred; training provided.
