Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will work alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal life goals and develop daily living skills. Responsibilities include advocating for individuals, providing positive behavior support, assisting with personal care, documenting services, and promoting community involvement. Candidates must have effective communication skills in English, the ability to work in a team environment, and possess a valid driver's license. No specific licenses or certifications are required, as training will be provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfy criteria to be a driver for the agency required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing related job duties preferred
- Proficient computer skills preferred
- Proficient writing skills with grasp of basic grammar and spelling
