Job Summary
Supervise individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their health, safety, and adherence to Individual Plans of Protective Oversight. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills like hygiene and meal preparation, and facilitate balanced meals and unit maintenance. Advocate for individuals by transporting them to medical appointments, recreational activities, and workshops while observing and reporting unusual behaviors. Complete daily progress notes, logs, and documentation of goals, maintaining updated certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP. Remain on shift until relief arrives, ensuring compliance with OPWDD and COA standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications preferred
