Job Summary
Supervise individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight and ensuring health and safety. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills including hygiene, food preparation, and shopping, and facilitate skill training in areas like fire safety and social skills. Advocate for individuals regarding medical appointments, recreational activities, and spiritual development while transporting them to these outings. Maintain facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards through cleaning, meal preparation, and documentation of progress notes and logs. Observe and report unusual behaviors, cooperate with clinical staff, and remain on shift until relief arrives. Maintain current certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications preferred
