Job Summary
Supervise individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their health, safety, and implementation of individual plans of care. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills including hygiene, food preparation, and shopping, and prepare balanced meals. Advocate for individuals in the community by transporting them to medical appointments, recreational activities, and home visits while observing and reporting unusual behaviors. Maintain facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards through cleaning and unit maintenance. Complete daily progress notes, logs, and documentation of goals while attending required workshops and maintaining CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP certifications. Remain on shift until relief arrives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
