DSP IV Lead/Charge DSP

Direct Support Professional (DSP) IV Lead/Charge DSP at a State Supported Living Center in Richmond, TX. Lead and coordinate habilitation and rehabilitation programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, supervise and mentor DSP staff, and ensure adherence to individual plans and documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating activities, implementing positive behavior support plans, crisis intervention, training and mentoring DSP staff, supervising staff and residents, reporting progress, maintaining safety and infection-control standards, and ensuring efficient operation of the home. Requires advanced care techniques, ability to train others, and active participation in interdisciplinary treatment planning; must drive a state-owned vehicle and may require evening/night/weekend shifts. Certifications in CPR/First Aid or Safe Use of Restraint are preferred; candidates should possess strong communication, decision-making, and teamwork abilities and be able to work in a dynamic, care-focused environment. This is a full-time exempt/non-exempt (Nonexempt) role supporting individuals at the Richmond SSLC, with potential for additional pay for evenings, nights, weekends, and maximum security locations.
