Job Summary
Provide companionship, care, and support to a young adult male with developmental disabilities in Concord, NC. Conduct instruction and assistance in home living environments while helping the individual identify social roles and develop healthy habits. Facilitate community integration by transporting and accompanying the person to day programs, work sites, and community activities. Dispense medication and monitor dosages as needed. Deliver approximately 15-20 hours of respite services per week, with flexible scheduling between early and mid-day afternoons Monday through Friday, plus potential weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to successfully pass a drug screen
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
