Job Summary
Direct Support Professional I (DSP) providing residential habilitation and community-based support to adults with IDD. Responsibilities include ensuring health, safety, and well-being; completing residential documentation; assisting with meals, daily routines, ADL kits, and housekeeping; implementing community integration plans; maintaining a clean residence; addressing crises and medical emergencies; dispensing medications as certified; assisting with personal care; transporting to appointments and activities; and representing the agency positively. Requires med certification and driver eligibility within 90 days, HS diploma/GED (Associate degree preferred), and the ability to work variable hours, including overtime and shift coverage. Benefits available for 30+ hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid NYS driver license
- NYS and OPWDD background clearances
- Medication Administration certification/training
- Crisis intervention and prevention training
- Driver Certification
- Behavior Management training
