Job Summary
Provide personal care and daily living support to adults with developmental disabilities in a licensed residential home. Responsibilities include assisting with eating, personal hygiene, showering, restroom assistance, meal preparation (including assistance with dietary restrictions and G-tube feeding), medication administration and monitoring, housekeeping and laundry, activity planning aligned with IPP/ISP goals, documentation, mandatory trainings, and participation in staff meetings. May use company vehicle to transport residents to health care appointments. Requires CPR/CPI/First Aid certifications and ability to obtain necessary clearances. Prior experience in licensed residential settings with medical/behavioral needs preferred; driver’s license and local travel potential may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- DSP-I and DSP-II Certification or must be attained within first year of hire
- CPR, CPI and First Aid Certifications
- 1-2 years’ experience in a licensed residential setting with medical fragile adults and/or behavioral issues
- Ability to pass post-offer medical exam and TB test
- Ability to obtain/maintain criminal record/fingerprint clearance
- Valid California driver’s license (if applicable) and driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards
- Ability to lift 0-50 lbs, stand/walk for portions of shift, and travel up to 20% local
