Job Summary
Supervise and advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight and ensuring medication is administered as prescribed. Assist with daily living skills including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and shopping while maintaining facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards. Transport individuals to medical appointments, recreational activities, and home visits, and facilitate skill training in fire safety and social development. Complete daily progress notes, logs, and documentation of individual goals while observing and reporting any unusual behavior to clinical staff. Maintain updated certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP, and remain on shift until relief arrives.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- High School / G.E.D.
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
