Job Summary
Direct Support Professional/Residential Counselor needed for group homes serving adults with ID/DD. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care (bathing/toileting), supervising cleaning, cooking and life skills, administering or assisting with medications, effective communication with supervisors and residents, transporting residents to day programs using agency vehicles, daily documentation of services, and organizing community activities. Requires HS diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, ability to meet CPR/First Aid and evacuation requirements, and successful background/drug screening. Overnight shift is 11:00pm-9:00am Thursday–Saturday with 30+ hours per week and full training plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- A valid (non-provisional) driver’s license
- Ability to meet physical requirements of CPR/First Aid and emergency evacuation procedures
- Successful completion of background checks and drug test
- Annual documentation of services provided
- Experience with ID/DD population is a plus
