Job Summary
Provide overall support and care for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and secondary mental health/substance abuse issues. Deliver group care in the day program or community while assisting with incidental personal care, behavioral support, medication administration, job coaching, and independent living skills. Facilitate educational opportunities in communication and recreation/leisure. Maintain a valid driver's license, pass a criminal record check, and complete CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management training. Work Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, with full-time staff earning $16.00-$20.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited school
- Prompt and regular attendance for assigned work schedule
- Working during inclement weather and some holidays
- Valid Driver's license
- Acceptable Driving Record
- Criminal Record Check
- Successful completion of course work in CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management
- Basic computer skills for e-mail, electronic training modules and recording data
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to balance, bend, stoop and kneel
- Ability to be on feet most of the time
- Ability to meet the individual client specific needs
