Job Summary
Provide one-to-one or group care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and secondary mental health issues in homes or community settings. Assist with personal care, behavioral support, medication administration, job coaching, and independent living skills while delivering educational opportunities in communication and recreation. Complete CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management training, maintain a valid driver's license, and log data using basic computer skills. Full-time staff (30+ hours/week) receive health, dental, life insurance, holiday pay, PTO, and 401K.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited school
- Valid Driver's license and acceptable Driving Record
- Criminal Record Check
- Successful completion of course work in CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management
- Basic computer skills for e-mail, electronic training modules and recording data
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to balance, bend, stoop and kneel
- Ability to be on feet most of the time
- Ability to meet the individual client specific needs
- Prompt and regular attendance for assigned work schedule
- Willingness to work during inclement weather and some holidays
