Job Summary
Support individuals in achieving personal goals through a person-centered focus, teaching independent living skills like grooming, personal care, and household tasks including meal preparation and food shopping. Actively plan and coordinate social activities and frequent community outings for residents. Provide ADL assistance to highly independent individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those who wear hearing aids, love animals, and require selective dietary support. Maintain valid driver's license and effective communication skills to assist with daily routines and community integration.
Required Qualifications
- Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution
- Valid Driver's License
- Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided
- Experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or with other types of special needs populations (rehabilitation settings, nursing homes, psychiatric hospitals, other behavioral health settings, etc.)
- Saturday/Sunday, 9:00am-3:00pm
