Job Summary
Provide one-to-one or group care for individuals with intellectual, developmental, or traumatic brain injuries at the Emergent Need Respite Center or in the community. Assist clients with personal care, behavioral support, medication administration, job coaching, and independent living skills while delivering educational opportunities in communication and recreation. Administer CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management training as required, maintain electronic training modules and data records, and ensure prompt attendance during scheduled shifts including weekends, holidays, and inclement weather. Lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as balancing, bending, and kneeling while on your feet most of the time.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited school
- Valid Driver's license and acceptable Driving Record
- Criminal Record Check
- Successful completion of course work in CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management
- Basic computer skills for e-mail, electronic training modules and recording data
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to balance, bend, stoop and kneel
- Ability to be on feet most of the time
- Prompt and regular attendance for assigned work schedule
- Ability to meet the individual client specific needs
