Job Summary
Direct Care Staff positions in Watchung, NJ provide direct care and assistance with ADLs, community integration, companionship, behavioral support, and mentorship for individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include medication administration, transportation to community activities, and delivering care in home and community settings. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED (or higher), 18+ years old, CPR & First Aid certification, successful background checks and DDD clearances, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Training is provided (College of Direct Support online DDD courses). Competitive hourly pay ($21.40–$30.00/hr) with benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, PTO and sick leave. Work location is in-person in Watchung, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (or higher)
- At Least 18 Years of Age
- CPR & First Aid Certification (from an approved provider)
- Ability to Pass Background Checks and Required DDD Clearances
- Valid Driver’s License, Reliable Transportation, and Acceptable Driving Record
- Experience in Behavioral Health, Caregiving, or Direct Support is Strongly Preferred
