Job Summary
Supervise individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight and ensuring health and safety. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills like hygiene and meal preparation, and facilitate skill training in areas such as fire safety and social skills. Advocate for individuals in the community for medical appointments, recreation, and spiritual development while maintaining facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards. Complete daily progress notes, logs, and documentation of goals; observe and report unusual behaviors to clinical staff. Maintain updated certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP, and stay on shift until relief arrives. Transport individuals for home visits and activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
