Job Summary
Conduct daily supervision, health, and safety checks for individuals with developmental disabilities while implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills including hygiene, food preparation, and shopping, and facilitate learning in areas like fire safety and social skills. Advocate for individuals in the community by transporting them to medical appointments, church, and recreational activities, and prepare balanced meals while maintaining facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards. Complete daily progress notes, logs, and job-related tasks, and observe or report any regressive or unusual behavior to clinical staff. Remain on shift until relief arrives, ensuring all certifications such as CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP are current.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
