Job Summary
Conduct daily supervision, health and safety checks, and implement Individual Plans of Protective Oversight for individuals with developmental disabilities. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills, and prepare balanced meals while maintaining facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards. Advocate for individuals in the community by transporting them to medical appointments, religious services, and recreational activities, and facilitate fire safety training and social skill development. Complete daily progress notes, logs, and documentation of goals while observing and reporting unusual behaviors to clinical staff. Maintain updated certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP, and remain on shift until relief arrives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
