Job Summary
Conduct daily supervision, health, and safety checks for individuals with developmental disabilities while implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills like hygiene and meal preparation, and facilitate fire safety training. Advocate for individuals by transporting them to medical appointments, recreational activities, and home visits, while maintaining facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards. Complete daily progress notes, logs, and documentation of goals; observe and report unusual behaviors to clinical staff. Maintain updated CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP certifications. Remain on shift until relief arrives, ensuring a positive atmosphere and ethical support.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
