Job Summary
Supervise individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing individual plans of protective oversight, administering prescribed medications, and ensuring health and safety. Advocate for clients in the community for medical appointments, recreation, and spiritual development while assisting with daily living skills like hygiene, food preparation, and shopping. Transport individuals to activities and home visits, prepare balanced meals, and maintain facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards. Document progress through daily notes, logs, and individual goal implementation while observing and reporting unusual behaviors to clinical staff. Maintain updated certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP, and attend required workshops and trainings. Remain on shift until relief arrives and complete job-related tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications preferred
