Job Summary
Supervise individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight and ensuring health and safety. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills such as hygiene and meal preparation, and plan balanced meals. Advocate for individuals in the community by transporting them to medical appointments, recreation activities, and workshops. Complete daily progress notes, individual logs, and documentation of goals while maintaining facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards. Observe and report unusual behaviors, facilitate fire safety training, and provide spiritual and ethical support. Maintain updated certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP. Remain on shift until relief arrives and complete job-related tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications preferred
