Job Summary
Supervise individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight and ensuring health and safety. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills like hygiene and meal preparation, and facilitate skill training in fire safety. Advocate for individuals by transporting them to medical appointments, recreational activities, and home visits while observing and reporting unusual behaviors. Maintain facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards through cleaning, grocery shopping assistance, and documentation of progress notes and goals. Remain on shift until relief arrives and attend required trainings to uphold certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications preferred
