Job Summary
Inspect Durango-based buildings, equipment, and appliances to verify proper function and perform regular upkeep. Diagnose problems with company-owned assets such as air-conditioning, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems, then facilitate timely repairs. Proactively monitor and replace old or damaged appliances and appurtenances while establishing safeguards and response plans for fire-related or property-based emergencies. Clean and prepare vacated buildings and offices for new occupants, and assist with special projects including Event Park duties. This hands-on role covers landscaping, painting, carpentry, and renovation to keep all facilities in good working condition. You will work in and around a rail yard within an industrial shop environment, occasionally in tight spaces or high areas, with a schedule that may require overtime or on-call availability after hours.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability & desire to perform physically demanding work within a varying work schedule
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
