Job Summary
Set up all technical needs, including soundboards, light boards, and curtains, prior to events and strike down afterward. Operate lights, sounds, and curtains during the event while monitoring patron entrance to ensure safety and professional demeanor. Assist with handicapped patrons and any emergency procedures as needed. Maintain professional appearance and comply with district safety protocols, federal, state, and board policies. This role supports DSISD high school and middle school campuses, requiring current student status and technical theatre experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current DSISD high school student
- Ability to hook up microphones, patch and operate levels on soundboard
- Ability to play music through sound system from various components
- Ability to program cues, patch and operate the light board
- Ability to manipulate curtains and other backstage headsets, etc.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
- Ability to instruct others
- Technical Theatre class work or related experience
