Job Summary

Packaging Designer will develop innovative, cost-effective, and structurally sound packaging containers, gather project data from sales and project managers, create dies in CAD, incorporate customer feedback, and create prototypes for customer approval. Located at the Richmond corrugated container facility, responsibilities include intake and evaluation of project requests, identifying materials and processes, conveying concepts via sketches and CAD visuals, producing samples and mock-ups, providing ongoing project support to customers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing presentations for various audiences, creating promotional materials and bills of materials, onboarding and training new design team members, and coaching peers. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Packaging Design and 2+ years of relevant experience; proficiency with CAD and design software (ESKO, Strata 3D Studio, Adobe, MS Office); ability to drive projects in a fast-paced environment; and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or other programs with emphasis on 3D development
  • 2+ years of experience in packaging and design, industrial design, engineering, or point of purchase display
