Job Summary
Receive direct store delivery products including soda, chips, and alcohol, then check invoices for accuracy and assess goods for damage. Monitor product levels, maintain accurate inventory records, and manage the Inventory Management System by performing free counts and adjustments. Unload trucks, secure back doors to protect assets, and reduce shrink by processing credit for damaged or out-of-date items. Advise vendors on stocking needs and report supply inconsistencies to department managers. Maintain the back room according to 5S standards, ensure a clean and safe environment, and provide customer service by greeting shoppers and addressing complaints. Requires DSD Receiving certification, ability to operate a pallet jack, and flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- DSD Receiving certification
- Ability to safety operate pallet jack
- Ability to read and operate digital equipment
- Ability to maintain detailed records and accurately fill out forms or other documentation
- Ability to use initiative to decide on a course of action for self or others
- Ability to make decisions either after thorough evaluation or under time pressure
- Ability to effectively communicate (in written and verbal form) with vendors, partners, and customers
- Ability to interpret written and numerical information
- Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor
- Attendance at work is required
