Job Summary
Provide orientation, educational, and learning opportunities to assist staff in gaining the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to perform assigned duties safely and effectively. Monitor nursing staff activities to ensure care quality complies with state, federal, and corporate standards. Direct the infection prevention and control program and oversee its activities. Requires a minimum of two years' experience providing direct care to multiple residents, an accredited LPN/LVN degree, and current licensure. Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations is essential. Infection Prevention Certification and supervisory experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience providing direct care to multiple residents
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as LPN/LVN in the state
- Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
