Job Summary
DS Supply Chain Leader UK/IE leads GDCL operations for DePuy Synthes in Leeds, delivering end-to-end logistics performance, trade compliance, and cross-border coordination. Responsible for setting strategy and operating model for GDCL in the OUS region, governance of cross-border logistics and trade execution, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations, partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Transportation, Customer Service and Commercial teams, monitoring KPIs related to service, cost, quality and compliance, driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and customer experience, mentoring and leading high-performing teams, managing risk and issue resolution, and representing GDCL in global forums. Requires 10-12 years of progressive global logistics leadership, deep knowledge of international trade compliance and regulatory requirements, and strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills. Certifications and additional languages are preferred; travel up to 20-25% is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field (required)
- Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent)
- 10-12 years of progressive experience in global logistics, GDCL, trade operations, or supply chain leadership roles
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing managers and senior professionals
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-border and multi-site operations
- Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated industries (preferred)
- Experience supporting EMEA distribution from international locations
- Language: Fluency in English (required)
