Job Summary
Measure, cut, and assemble metal or wood framing for walls, ceilings, and partitions according to blueprints and specifications. Install drywall panels ensuring precise alignment, proper fastening, and a quality finish. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to ensure timely project completion. Review drawings and layout plans to verify dimensions and placement before installation. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition while adhering to company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Assist in material takeoffs and ensure efficient use of supplies. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in drywall framing, preferably in commercial construction, with the ability to read blueprints, lift heavy materials, and work at heights. Candidates must be able to work 50+ hours per week and meet tight project deadlines. A valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drywall framing, preferably in commercial construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
- Strong understanding of framing layout, measuring, and leveling techniques
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when necessary
- Reliable transportation and a valid Texas Driver's License
- Must be able to work 50+ hours per week and meet tight project deadlines
