Job Summary
Operate and maintain the general operation of a dry packaging line to ensure continuous quality, efficiency, sanitation, and safety. Start and set up all required equipment for production, control packaging materials and code dates, and perform general maintenance and repairs on machinery. Troubleshoot equipment issues, execute changeovers, and complete daily reports on production yields and cleaning schedules. Coordinate record keeping, assist in controlling packaging from the warehouse, and supervise line workers as needed. Report to the night shift supervisor and assist with training other line workers. This role requires climbing heights up to 150 feet, handling weights up to 65 lbs, and working in a loud, dusty, and hot environment. The position is on the night shift (10pm–6am S-TH) at KLN Family Brands' Perham, MN facility.
Required Qualifications
- General mathematical ability
- Basic computer skills
- Not afraid of heights
- Ability to climb 150 feet
- Ability to meet physical requirements necessary for this position
- Willingness to work hours and shifts as required by the supervisor
- Ability to read, speak, write and understand English
- Willingness and ability to get along with others
- Willingness to fill in on other shifts as required by supervisor
- Ability to handle weights of up to 65lbs on a routine basis
- Clean background check
- Successful drug test (UA)
