Job Summary
Operate and maintain the general operation of a dry packaging line to ensure continuous quality, efficiency, sanitation, and safety. Start and set up all required equipment for production, control packaging materials, code dates, and expiration dates, and manage weight controls and line efficiency. Perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment, assist maintenance personnel, and execute all equipment adjustments, changeovers, and troubleshooting. Communicate with supervisors, extruder operators, and line workers regarding production concerns, product times, bin space, and record-keeping requirements. Complete daily reports, cleaning schedules, and special projects as assigned. Work the night shift from 2pm to 10pm Monday through Friday in a loud, dusty, and hot environment.
Required Qualifications
- General mathematical ability
- Basic computer skills
- Not afraid of heights
- Ability to climb 150 feet
- Ability to meet physical requirements necessary for this position
- Willingness to work hours and shifts as required by the supervisor
- Ability to read, speak, write and understand English
- Willingness and ability to get along with others
- Willingness to fill in on other shifts as required by supervisor
- Ability to handle weights of up to 65lbs on a routine basis
- Clean background check
- Successful drug test (UA)
