Job Summary
Conduct individual and group drum lessons, customizing instruction to student skill levels while introducing diverse styles like rock, jazz, and funk. Design structured lesson plans incorporating music theory and notation, then regularly assess progress to provide constructive feedback and set performance milestones. Manage group dynamics, maintain attendance records, and coordinate scheduling with the administrative team. Prepare students for recitals, exams, and external competitions, while offering guidance on equipment selection. Maintain flexible availability for evening and weekend classes as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education or a related field
- Proven experience as a Drum Teacher or professional drummer
- Experience with both individual and group instruction
- Strong proficiency in a variety of drumming styles and techniques
- Ability to teach both children and adults
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evening and weekend classes if required
Desired Qualifications
- Music teaching certification
- Familiarity with music technology, including recording software and electronic drum kits
- Patience and enthusiasm for teaching
