Drug Discovery Project Leader II

Job Summary
Lead high-impact drug discovery programs from target validation through candidate selection, translating cutting-edge science into clinical-ready compounds. Build and lead cross-functional project teams within Eurofins Discovery, coordinating with client partners and ensuring timely data delivery, milestones, and budget adherence. Serve as the primary client contact, manage project plans (Gantt), and maintain ongoing project documents. Ideal candidate has >10 years in drug discovery leadership with a background in Medicinal Chemistry, Biology or DMPK, and holds MSc or PhD; exceptional communication, planning, and collaborative skills; capable of working across CST/EST time zones with EU collaborators; 10% travel; full-time role with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Higher degree (MSc or PhD) in biological sciences or relevant subject
- At least 10 years’ experience of drug discovery project leadership in industry
- Track record of leading teams and delivering multiple clinical candidates
- Expert user of online project and data-management tools (e.g., SharePoint)
- Strong project planning, negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail; commitment to quality deliverables
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivation and adaptability
- Resides in CST or EST time zones; willingness to collaborate with EU teams
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office, project management software, AI tools)
- Travel 10% of the time
