Drug and Alcohol Compliance Coordinator -Fully Remote in the US

Job Summary

Coordinate receipt of source documents with the Medical Review Officer (MRO) and resolve inconsistencies or missing data to ensure documentation accuracy. Answer inquiries from clients, donors, labs, and clinicians regarding results, testing, and document processing while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations. Compile, sort, and verify all results in the MRO review process, request necessary vendor or client documentation, and manage random name draws and statistical data for testing pools. Perform extensive follow-up to assure timely completion of reviews and address medical confidentiality issues. Participate in on-call coverage outside regular hours, remaining available to respond to work-related requests within 30 minutes. Maintain the customer follow-up program and provide assistance during DOT audits.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Post high school education in business, healthcare, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the field of drug and alcohol collection processes preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with clients at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Make independent decisions in accordance with company policy and procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Take initiative on issues that arise daily
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to create and edit written materials
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
  • The skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • The ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports

  • The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Work Environment must be free from background noise and distraction
