Job Summary
Lead technical sales and site solution design for Zipline's autonomous delivery infrastructure, producing layouts, specifications, and cut sheets for new and existing sites. Own site delivery from initial evaluation through construction, commissioning, and initial operation, coordinating internal teams, customers, contractors, and installation partners. Develop preconstruction strategies, secure entitlements and permits with jurisdictions and Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and manage parallel light-commercial construction projects while mitigating risks. Source, bid, and evaluate general contractors across electrical and assembly trades, balancing quality, reliability, schedule, and lean budgets. Translate deployment constraints and customer feedback into prioritized product changes with engineering teams to accelerate future Ground Systems rollouts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, real estate development, finance, business administration, urban planning, architecture, construction management, or a related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience in technical hardware sales, technical product management, real estate development, construction, or a related field
- Proven experience navigating infrastructure entitlements, permitting, inspections, and approvals with customer real estate or construction teams and AHJs
- Experience working with architectural, structural, civil, electrical, or MEP design teams on commercial or industrial development projects
- Ability to communicate technical decisions through sketches, technical writing, and presentations, while escalating risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities clearly
- Proficiency with CAD tools for site layouts, indicative construction designs, and technical drawings
- based in the METRO region with up to 20% domestic and international travel
