Job Summary
Identify and locate unmarked utilities, customer-owned equipment, and existing services to prevent damage during installation. Operate trenching and boring machinery, including vibrator plows, to bury underground coax and fiber cable lines while retrieving tasks with handheld units. Review work drawings, complete necessary paperwork, and restore job sites to their original condition after finishing. Document all tasks accurately and ensure responsibility for any damages incurred. Walk over half a mile while operating equipment and work independently or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Completion of background and MVR checks
- Ability to walk over ½ mile while operating a drop plow for cable installation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed
- Operate machinery including trenching and boring equipment for burying cable
- The ability to walk 1/2 mile + while operating following a drop plow that places service cable
- Ability to work the schedule including overtime as needed
- Strong verbal and written communication ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as a team player
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to travel as needed
