Job Summary
Driving Instructor role teaching students in a Coastline Car, guiding them through the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel. In a company-provided vehicle, you'll instruct on the rules of the road, help students build confidence, and document progress. The position includes paid training to obtain state instructor certification, with in-person, behind-the-wheel training in your local area, shadowing lessons, and several hours of in-house coursework. Typical day features multiple two-hour lessons, with emphasis on safety, student development, and ongoing communication with a supervisor and team. Training comprises 60 hours (40 hours of at-home reading/modules and 20 hours of in-car training). Equal opportunity employer. Required Qualifications
- A genuine passion for helping people learn
- A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check
- Must have 10 years of legal driving experience
- Strong safety mindset and strong reasoning ability
- Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others
- Ability to focus for extended periods of time
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle
- Must be able to see and hear during all weather conditions
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, touch, feel
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
