Job Summary
In a company-provided Coastline Car, educate and advise students while teaching the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel. Training is provided to obtain the state-required driving instructor certification through a paid program. Lessons occur mainly afternoons/weekends; a typical day may include three, two-hour lessons. Responsibilities include teaching driving skills, rules of the road, documenting student progress, maintaining professionalism, and communicating with the supervisor. Must have a valid state driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, and 10 years of legal driving experience. The role is based in Plymouth Meeting, PA in a Coastline car with in-person behind‐the‐wheel instruction and safety features like a dashboard camera.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid State Driver's License
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check
- 10 years of legal driving experience
- Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others
- Ability to focus for extended periods of time
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods in a vehicle
- Must be able to see and hear during all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
