Job Summary
Teach practical driving skills in a Coastline Car, provide instruction on the rules of the road, help students develop confidence behind the wheel, document and report on students' progress, and participate in ongoing development. Training includes 60 hours (40 hours at-home modules and 20 hours behind-the-wheel in-person), with in-person behind-the-wheel training in your local area and shadowing 3 in-car lessons plus 3×4 hours of training with a Certified Trainer. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and effective communication with students and the support team.
Required Qualifications
- A genuine passion for helping people learn
- Ability to remain calm in a learning environment
- A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check
- Must have 10 years of legal driving experience
- A strong safety mindset and strong reasoning ability
- Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others
- Ability to focus for extended periods of time
