Job Summary
Teaching practical driving skills in a Coastline Academy classroom/car setting, guiding students through the fundamentals of operating a vehicle, documenting progress, and maintaining professional communication with supervisors and teammates. The role includes in-person behind-the-wheel instruction in a Coastline car, participation in paid-state certification training, and delivering lessons primarily in afternoons and weekends, with a focus on safety, student confidence, and adherence to driving rules of the road.
Required Qualifications
- A genuine passion for helping people learn
- Ability to remain calm in a learning environment
- A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check
- Must have 10 years of legal driving experience
- A strong safety mindset and strong reasoning ability
- Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others
- Ability to focus for extended periods of time
- Training will consist of 60 hours of learning (40 hours reading/modules, 20 hours in-car training)
- In-person behind-the-wheel training
- Shadow 3 in-car lessons and 3 x 4 hours of training with a Certified Trainer
