Job Summary
Driver Class A position with BlueLinx in Charleston, SC. Responsibilities include securing loads (no tarping, only strapping), accurate on-time delivery, handling customer returns, managing Proof of Delivery paperwork, professional customer interaction, maintaining safety checklists and DOT inspections, operating an electronic logbook, and directing unloading as needed. Requirements: Valid Class A CDL, 21+ years old, 12 months tractor-trailer experience in past 3 years, safe driving record, ability to secure loads, and ability to work in all weather conditions. Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 21 years of age
- 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
- Safe Driving Record
- Ability to secure loads
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
- Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
- Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
- Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
- Direct the unloading by customers, when required
