Job Summary
Maintain driver logs according to D.O.T. regulations and inspect trucks for defects before and after each trip. Assure proper material and equipment is loaded, consult with the shipper on items to be loaded, and explain the paperwork and process. Complete a detailed inventory sheet prior to loading and assist workers in loading and unloading the truck. Valid driver's license, CDL A or B, Non-CDL, and current Medical Certificate required. Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid drivers license, CDL A or B, Non CDL and current Medical Certificate
- Maintains driver log according to D.O.T. regulations
- Inspects truck for defects before and after each trip and submits report indicating truck condition
- Assures proper material and equipment is loaded in truck before starting out on a move
- Driver consults with the shipper on items to be loaded, explains the paperwork and the process that will be used during this phase of their move
- Completes a detailed inventory sheet prior to loading truck
- Assists workers in loading and unloading truck
Desired Qualifications
- Ideal candidates drive gasoline or diesel powered tractor-trailer and or straight trucks to transport and deliver office or household items
