Job Summary
Safely operate company vehicles and perform all aspects of residential and commercial moving projects throughout the Richmond area. Load, secure, transport, and unload household goods, office furniture, and commercial equipment while following DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations. Complete vehicle inspections, protect customer property, and provide exceptional customer service throughout every move. Disassemble and reassemble furniture, utilize moving equipment, and follow work orders to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. This physically demanding role requires lifting up to 100 pounds and working Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 AM. Overtime and occasional overnight travel are available based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of professional driving experience
- Previous experience as a Driver, Commercial Driver, Moving Driver, Delivery Driver, Route Driver, or Transportation Driver
- Active DOT Medical Card
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds throughout the workday
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including repetitive lifting, loading, unloading, packing, and moving furniture and equipment
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional overnight assignments when business needs require
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Steel-toed boots
