Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for timely delivery of goods to customer sites, reviewing orders for accuracy, and managing loading/unloading of vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) over 26,001 lbs. Key responsibilities include maintaining routes, ensuring customer service, assisting with equipment handling, and performing vehicle maintenance checks. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a CDL license, clean driving record, and 2 years of driving experience. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to navigate using GPS.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- CDL license and heavy-duty DOT certification as required
- Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) under and above 26,001 lbs
- Ability to drive or sit for long hours at a time
- High degree of teamwork with customers, peers, and managers
- Ability to use and understand automated routing software
- General competencies skills in smartphone use
