Job Summary
OATS Transit is hiring drivers in Missouri to operate mini-vans, Ford Transits, or a wide body bus. Responsibilities include assisting riders on and off the bus with respect and dignity, securely placing wheelchairs and mobility devices, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, using an in-vehicle tablet for trip information and timing, completing required paperwork, attending paid training, and complying with federal/state/company rules and regulations. Must meet age and licensing requirements, pass DOT physical and drug tests, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds; position is non-exempt and hourly with variable hours. Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 23 years of age.
- Class E or CDL license is required with no more than 4 points assessed.
- Must be able to pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test.
- Must take and pass drug screening, and undergo random drug/alcohol testing.
- Must be bondable
- Every driver is required to use a computer tablet in their vehicle, so computer experience a plus.
- Have a proactive, helpful, can-do attitude with the flexibility to adjust to different schedules and routes.
- Neat, organized, able to work independently.
- This is an active job that requires many physical demands including sitting, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying. Must be able to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds.
