Job Summary
Retrieve, move, and stack merchandise using material handling equipment including forklifts. Unload inbound shipments, stage skids for outbound deliveries, and verify counts and conditions of goods. Create bills of lading, manifests, and driver logs while ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting to dispatch. Operate company vehicles for customer pickups and deliveries, securing loads within weight limits and complying with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and complete daily equipment maintenance logs.
Required Qualifications
- Certified forklift driver (stand up/sit down) or willing to learn, as needed
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English
- Basic knowledge of computer systems required
- Must have a current/unexpired REAL ID compliant driver's license
- Heavy Lifting required (75 lbs assisted)
- Must be able to navigate in various weather conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and overtime with little notice
- Must successful complete a criminal background investigation and drug screen
- Must maintain a clean MVR, criminal record and remain drug free
- A minimum one year of driving experience
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 1 year of related experience in a straight shift, box truck preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word knowledge preferred
- Warehouse Management Systems experience helpful
